Our SEO Course FAQS
How long would it take me to complete this online course?
The core of the course is seven SEO tutorials, which were designed on the basis of a one day SEO course. As you are doing them in your own time, they are shorter than what it would take in a classroom situation (no long discussions or lunch etc.).
The videos and activities add up to about three hours (depending how quickly you complete the activities), and it is recommended that you spread them over at least two days to allow you to absorb the material.
Will I get an SEO certificate?
Yes, for a small payment (and completely optional). This is a very popular aspect of this course. When you complete our programme, and successfully pass the final test, you will be provided with a link to your certificate, which you can print and hang by your desk or add to your CV.
Exam? Did you say SEO Exam?
In order to provide you with our SEO certification (and to help you focus and study) there is an optional certification multiple-choice test at the end of the course.
But here’s the good news: At the end of each video module, you are presented with questions about that module. Once you have answered them – you are given the correct answers. The final test is actually a collection of all the questions you already answered before, so if you participate in all the mini quizzes, you will know the answers already.
Do I need to be technical to take this course?
Not at all. Challenging as this may sound, we tried to provide a course that is informative to both the techies and those who are not. You do not need any programming experience, just an open mind and willingness to learn. The only exception to this rule is the bonus section, where some of the content is a little more advanced, but still useful even if you don’t understand every single technique.
What about Search Engine Marketing (SEM)?
This course focuses on organic Search engine optimisation (SEO), with only some reference to search engine marketing (SEM), mainly to explain how it is different from SEO. SEM deserves a course of its own, and if there is a lot of demand for it we might provide one. But the truth of the matter is that you can learn quite a lot about SEM from the search engines tutorials themselves because, unlike in SEO, they have nothing to hide there. They want you to spend money with them and be successful.
What sort of equipment do I need?
You will need a computer (Mac/PC) with access to the Internet, and a connection that is decent enough to stream video. If you can view our SEO introduction, then you should be OK.
Can I access the course on an iPad/tablet?
The course was tested on an iPad and is fully functional. If you are using another tablet, you will need it to be about iPad size to get a decent sized viewing. Smaller devices are not recommended, as you won’t be able to see enough detail. Obvioiusly you will need a decent wifi connection for this.
